Everything – sights, wildlife, food, people.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
The number of tourists in Galle.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Galkadawala Forest Lodge [Habarana] – wonderful, unique place.
Hanthana House [Kandy] – lovely peaceful location, comfortable.
Meena Amma [Tea Experience, Nuwara Eliya] – the property unilaterally upgrade us to a room in the main house. Very comfortable and a taste of colonial life. I suggest that you offer this as an option. [The colonial house you mention is Jetwing Warwick Gardens, which is a few levels up from the homestay! However, a good idea to offer an upgrade...]
GlenMyu Estate [Haputale] – wonderful. Possibly the best small hotel we’ve ever stayed at.
Eliyanth Udawalawe [Udawalawe] – lovely setting, comfortable room. Food and service could be better.
Rainforest Edge [Sinharaja] – Very comfortable. Fantastic setting. Excellent food.
Fort Bliss [Galle] – very comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Nihal was excellent. One of the best we’ve ever had.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
We arranged our own flights with Air Lanka [SriLankan Airlines]. Not the best but OK.
