What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Wildlife, people, food, culture and history, landscape.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
For us the heat was sometimes enervating.
Driving standards.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
We thought all our accommodation was excellent and we appreciated the variety.

What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a more charming and knowledgeable guide. Niroshan was highly professional, as well as being a great enthusiast and a keen birder. He was very considerate of our needs and we quickly developed a very comfortable relationship with him.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Our flights with SriLankan Airlines [Economy Class] were excellent, particularly the return flight which took place under the shadow of the coronavirus.
Any other comments?
We didn’t purchase any souvenirs as we are in the process of decluttering our house and during the latter stages of our trip most retail outlets were shut.
Thank you again for putting together such a great trip for us and thanks both to you [John] and Pathi for smoothing our path over the last couple of days and switching us to such a pukka hotel in Negombo. We would particularly like to commend Niroshan for the huge contribution he made to our enjoyment and to the overall success of the trip. I can’t believe we had a guide whose enthusiasm for the birdlife was every bit as great as my own!
