What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
People were great, variety of experiences, multi-cultural environment. Our driver [guide], Ravi, was great.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Travelling between places.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Everywhere we stayed was really good. We travelled with two teenagers, who were sharing a room. Only observation would be re [The] Secret Kandy [Kandy] where the kids were placed in a room facing the street and some way from us, their parents. We didn’t like this and the electrics in the room the adults were in in The Secret Kandy need an overhaul – sockets looked dangerous and few worked. 32 Middle Street [Galle] was brilliant and our favourite, closely followed by the Wild Grass Nature Resort [Sigiriya], which was fabulous.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Nothing was too much trouble for Ravi P, who helped us amend our programme as we went along. In part this was because we were perhaps a bit too ambitious and in part because of the heat.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Flights were fine. Planes SriLankan Airlines used seemed a little old and we had a few niggles with the seats but no real complaints. [Arranged own flights]
Any other comments?
Very minor comment – you gave us the telephone number for the “other” Ravi, which led to a very confused call when we were on the train that was running late.
