What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Culture, food, landscape, wildlife, people – everything!!!
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing that we can think of.
The only disappointment was our seats on the Ella train were not by an open window but next to the join between windows so we didn’t have a great view out from our seats. [We are sorry for the disappointing seat positions on the Ella to Nanuoya (Nuwara Eliya) train but tickets for this particular route are the most popular on the island and extremely difficult to acquire.] However the seats on the other 2 train trips [Anuradhapura to Jaffna; Kandy to Colombo] were excellent so made up for this.
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Very good.
Highlight and our favourite was C Beyond [Nilaveli] in Nilaveli.

What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Very good. Nihal was helpful, polite and as the holiday progressed, he relaxed more and we got to know each other. Enjoyed his company.
What we really appreciated was that he gave us space to explore some of the major sites on our own and didn’t rush us, such as Sigiriya.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
Sri Lankan Airlines – because it was direct flights. Very good, on time. [Arranged own flights]
Any other comments?
Thank you for putting together the itinerary and taking on board our requests when this was being designed. We explored everywhere we wanted to go and enjoyed every minute, we certainly covered a lot.
Many thanks for enabling a wonderful holiday to Sri Lanka. We had a fantastic time, realising a great balance between exploring the culture, scenery, wildlife and general feel for the country (and loving the food). We are pleased that the itinerary took us slightly off the beaten track, and we didn’t really experience a touristy side until we got to Ella.
The accommodation was great, varied from the old fashioned Sanctuary at Tissawara to the luxury of C Beyond, and the living in nature experience of Galkadawala to the calmness of Amba Estate.
