What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
The variety of things to see and do, there was something for everyone. Small enough to see a large proportion of the island in a 2-week stay.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
Nothing!
What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
We loved pretty much every place we stayed, and having such a variety of places was great. The food at Big Game [Camp] Wilpattu wasn’t the best, but perfectly acceptable. Galkadawala [Forest Lodge] was a highlight for some of us, and Hanthana House and the AMBA Estate [Clove Tree Cottage] in Ella were a highlight for everyone. We all enjoyed the communal mealtimes when these took place.

What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Everybody loved Ravi!
He was very professional, but also very friendly and easy to be around. We felt well looked after, and he arranged extra activities for us (and has a great network to help get the best deals etc).
His wildlife spotting was second to none!
I’ve been instructed to mention his great taste in shirts 
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
They were fine but a bit basic. The food wasn’t particularly good, and there were issues with the entertainment system, rendering it useless for at least one of us on both outward and return journeys. I don’t know why they turned off the lights on the return (daytime journey). My preference was to slog out a very long day to try to beat the jet lag on our return.
They also ignored the kids when they pressed the 'Call' button to ask for water (the kids weren’t overusing this at all).

We had a fabulous holiday. Thank you for listening to our requirements and helping to plan this perfect time away. The information provided before hand was also very useful (travel tips [Tika Tips], Tika [Travel] Troth).
Having read older reviews about Hanthana House and the cooking lessons, I wasn’t sure how good this part would be, but it is clear that Pathi and Suba have acted on feedback and the cooking lesson was great with plenty of hands-on (and delicious results).
The only reason I wouldn’t go back to Sri Lanka is that there are too many other places to see in the world.
