The variety of scenery – brought alive by Kapila’s wonderful knowledge of the flora and fauna.

What is your opinion of your accommodation in Sri Lanka?
Very good. Interesting variety of types and locations. Always very clean and well appointed. Staff generally helpful other than at Nilaveli [Beach Hotel, Nilaveli], where service was poor.
What is your opinion of your chauffeur guide in Sri Lanka?
Kapila. Not enough superlatives – a real asset to Sri Lanka and the company. Knowledgeable, kind, patient, humorous, well turned out, prompt, friendly, generous.
What is your opinion of your flights to and from Sri Lanka?
No problems [arranged own flights].
Any other comments?
We were thrilled by our experience of Sri Lanka. It is a wonderful, diverse country, but the key to unlocking the more subtle elements was Kapila.
