What did you like most about Sri Lanka?
Tea plantations.
Friendly people.
What did you like least about Sri Lanka?
The constant expectation of tipping.
Stray dogs - neglect of them.

I am so sorry not to have replied before, but my emails went down the night we stayed at [Mandira] Craig Appin [Bungalow]! However, I can only say how sad we are for them that the TripAdvisor reports were so bad, and had put us off. I am very glad that we stayed there in the end. It was very comfortable - the staff were very helpful and food very good. Possibly my only recommendation is that they pay some attention to the bathrooms. There was mould on the window frame/paintwork which I rubbed off! - and the showers did not seem to function properly. But it was such a peaceful setting, and gave us a chance to wander in the surrounding tea estate. However, everywhere we stayed was extremely comfortable, and we loved the variety.
