The holiday featured (from 21 December 2025) begins with your collection at the airport by your dedicated Tikalanka chauffeur guide and drive south to Galle, famed for its Dutch colonial era fort. A couple of nights there includes a guided walking tour of the Fort by a resident as well as the opportunity to take leisurely cycle rides through the local paddy fields and villages by quiet back roads, or a boat safari for a spot of birding. Then on to Yala for an early morning and afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park, the island’s most renowned wildlife reserve due to its high density of leopards as well as elephants and Sloth Bears. You will finish along the south coast for 6 nights at the beach, where you could just chill or keep active with various water sports, whale watching, or visits to temples and tea plantations.
