SRI LANKA - A NEW PEACEFUL AND UNITED ERA
Sri Lanka officially declared the end of nearly three decades of internal conflict between
government forces and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009, hailing a new
peaceful era for a united island. We wish Sri Lanka and its people all the best in uniting
and developing the country, and we look forward to introducing more travellers to the traditional
and generous Sri Lankan hospitality!
The safety and security of our customers are paramount and Tikalanka
Tours always follows the official travel advice of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO),
which means we do not visit areas of Sri Lanka or Maldives advised against by the FCO.
